New flash cart in development

Re: New flash cart in development
Well, there was a small mistake on the PCB that was corrected. PCBs were then ordered. Since it is still initial test series (very small quantity) the factory is not in a hurry to produce them - they have more important (larger) orders, and we are not in a position to push them either (friends doing us a favour). Will fly there on the weekend and hope to have some more news around middle of the next week.rufus10 wrote:I was wondering the same thing. Rest assured this project is very high priority for me, so I won't let it just fade away. On the other hand thanks for your interest - I am glad its not only me who wants this!

We are having progress slowly but surely. See what I received some minutes ago :

Great to see you're making more progress!

So happy to see this for those who don't yet have a flash cart. Projects like this are the lifeblood for a small, retro community. Keep it up and good luck!

Any updates?
Re: New flash cart in development
Nothing major yet. Tomorrow 5 of the PCBs should be soldered in the factory so then the testing can begin. I hope to have some news before the end of the weekend.VirtualChris wrote:Any updates?

As planned the first PCBs are populated with the components. Lets start with tests now!

They look awesome. :D
Re: New flash cart in development
Latest news the 5 PCBs are finished as you saw from my last post. There was a small error in the produced PCBs which turns out is not a big deal to fix in the final production run. Those produced PCBs are good enough for testing, developing the VHDL firmware, and the PC flasher software. Stay tuned for more news!
