More pictures for your viewing pleasure...

It looks like a normal game cart:

It can fit in the standard case without any cuts at all:

There are no cuts on the back side either:

So how do you load games on it?

You stare at it violently until it gives up and produces a game. :)

But in seriousness, zoranc stated:
zoranc wrote:Latest news the 5 PCBs are finished as you saw from my last post. There was a small error in the produced PCBs which turns out is not a big deal to fix in the final production run. Those produced PCBs are good enough for testing, developing the VHDL firmware, and the PC flasher software. Stay tuned for more news!
It will be similar to the old flash carts: you use the flasher software to write ("flash") software (games or homebrew) to the cart. Just be patient, in time (upon release) there will be guides on how to use the cart. ;)

Meanwhile, why don't you hang out with us on IRC (#pmdev on EFNet, or use the web-interface) while you wait? :)

Seems like i wont get rid of my last PCBs and parts now, heh.

Not based on my design? You still use the same cpld and programming technique as i may assume by the photos. Any ideas on improvements on the flasher construction? Will you get cables made?

How large is the memory?

Good job on cramping that bga flash into the design and turning it into a single side populated board. Was it hard (or expensive...) to find a manufacturer for the PCBs?

I know how much effort it is to turn such thing into production, either you know someone who will do you a favour and help you or you pay lots for proto pcbs, stencils and assembly. Wouldnt be a problem if you'd plan to produce higher quantities...
So yeah, good job! I'll want one :-)
