I am starting a new topic for people to share Pokémon Mini artwork and animations. Specifically 96x64, 2 or 3 shades.

I was having fun with Photoshop and experimenting with animation:

An idea I talked about with Justburn a while ago for another pokemon mini game, a sports themed collection of mini games. One idea was a soccer shootout/reflex game. Not sure if sandshrew is the pokemon I want to put in.
Still working on this.

lose concept animation. The player can press left, right or nothing to block middle, in this case the player has pressed right when they should have pressed nothing.

You are really enjoying yourself doing those animations, keep them comming!

I'm surprised you didn't posted yet the Sound Test room concept for Psychic Seeds and probably other leftovers i'm not remembering atm, atleast they won't go to waste

As for that lose checkboard effect, it really not going to work properly on real hardware unless you bake a post-image (either static or animated sequence of images) into the background only, the issue is that the only way to overlay the screen is using sprites but there's only enough sprites to cover the screen once if you're not using any of them.

Wish I could collaborate more but i'm not as good to make those... all i have left is a bunch of non-animated concepts of other games that did only for fun (most were posted on old Team Pokéme site) which i don't feel appropriated to post here, i prefer to see animated ones instead anyway ;)

hmm ok..the checkerboard doesn't really look that good anyway...not necessary then.

I changed sandshrew to poliwhirl because I think poliwhirl is more fitting for 3 reasons:
1. poliwhirl has gloves
2. I didnt want to have the word 'soccer' in the title because of the confusion between football and soccer. So the name of the mini game is now 'Poliwhirl's Penalty Shootout'
3. Poliwhirls name starts with 'P' to have a catchy name.

Any artwork is welcome on this thread, animated or not :)

All very cool. O: I think poliwhirl is a good choice too tho the sandshrew was cute.

I have some concept arts but that's about it. Here's some for minesweeper:

This is the zoomed out screen so you can see the whole field at once:

You actually play while you're zoomed in, but you can't see the whole field:

You can quickly select which segment of the field to view with this screen:
