As zoranc later suggested I had to push down very hard on the screw more than actually putting force into turning it and eventually it began to loosen.

Update: Eventually got them out and fit everything in and everything works great. I cut a hole in the shell for the flasher port and it fits in great and the flasher works perfectly. I think this is the same seller that has been selling these for a while. I bought a copy from them before and it is legitimate, it's actually a portuguese copy so there is a sticker on the back and some extra instructions inside. I assume this seller must have got a job lot of these for really cheap ...
