Pokémon-mini.net mentioned on Racketboy
I was pleasantly surprised to find the following blog post in my Google reader backlog: http://www.racketboy.com/retro/nintendo/pokemon-mini-a-beginners-guide Have yet to read it, but it seems like a nice, expansive article about our favorite little handheld. The Pokémon-mini.net community is mentio...

Re: A new homebrew game for Pokemon mini
Got started on a Space Invaders clone for the PM, but dang am I lazy! I reckon it'd be best to read some other games' asm files first to learn a bit more.
Still, I don't believe this thing is dying. Sure, progress is really slow, but the fire hasn't gone out. We just need more kindle...

Re: C compiler
We'll be rooting for you! Actually, even hand-optimizing the ASM wouldn't matter much, just having it generated from something higher-level would be a huge jump in productivity.

Re: Where do you keep your Pokemon mini game carts ?
Nekotaku are you good in Japanese by any chance ? then please have a look here Whoop, I should check here more often... I'm afraid I won't be of any help there. Don't read or speak Japanese, even though I'd like nothing more. But it's either learning that or additional programming languages. Guess ...

Still got all of mine in the original boxes, with the plastic shell keeping the cartridge in place.

Re: C compiler
Hi Zoranc, best of luck with your project! Regarding your questions: * Yes, I'd definitely use it. Programming in assembly is fun, but for ambitious projects C would make a huge difference. * Basically everything that either doesn't quite fit in the PM's architecture is probably best left out. Libra...

Re: My first pokémon mini
Are there strong limits on importation in Vietnam? Because if that's not a problem, I suggest just looking around on eBay and Amazon. Quite a few sellers will probably ship internationally. Mind you, PMs are getting a bit more expensive these days, so if you want a mint console it'll probably cost a...

Re: My first pokémon mini
The moment I saw the SHizZLE demo I was enamoured with this little console. It is a lovely piece of hardware. And programming for a system with such imited resources is great because it forces you to go to the limit in your code. Good luck, DanB. Keep us posted on your projects!
