Pokémon Race Mini help!

Post by King Vidiot »

Hi all!
I need some help with controls on Pokemon Race Mini.

I'm trying to beat the 3rd challenge on level one, but i think i miss something.
If you play the challenges, you can see you need to know very well how to control the pokemon, as there is a really short time to beat the challenges.

For example, 1st and 2nd challenges can be done only if you learn the "mini turbo" technique (jump, forward, forward when you are going to hit ground).
The 3rd challenge is about wall jump... but i think it's impossible to make it without some kind of quick jump or something...

Maybe someone can translate the booklet, i think something useful can be found on page 18 or 19.
Thanks! :)

Hey i know this post is really old but did you ever figure this out? Those challenges seem absurdly hard and I've been trying to work out hidden special moves by trial and error (I don't have the manual). I have a feeling you can fast wall climb, I'm sure I've done it by accident on a couple of occasions.

There only version of the manual I know of is in Japanese. One can download it from the games section here. I am not sure if all moves are shown there...

Ah yes, cheers. Unfortunately I can't google translate it since it's an image not a text file :/

You can use the Google Translate mobile app's photo function to take a picture of the screen. I gave it a try from the downloadable copy here, and while it's not perfect, it does work. Trying to decipher the translated text is a kind of a fun game in itself!

Those pages don't really say much that's interesting. Run and jump onto the wall (hold right, A to jump), jump toward the other wall (just A), etc. It also says "if you don't hold the A button long enough your jump might not be very high" more or less. There's not really a trick, just jump quickly and try not to be stuck to walls often or for very long.

Cool, cheers. Thought I might be missing something important.
Any idea how to control Diglet, I can't figure out how to dig through walls.

I also have problems with that pikachu challenge (and several others). I already completed all the cups on normal, but hard is, well, hard. The diglett challenge is about ducking at the right time, then you can go through the hole. But he is slower when he is ducking, so you need to start normally.

I'm pretty sure Diglett can also perform a dash by double tapping forward

Well, that will surely help, I will try it. I managed to do it without though, or done it unintentionally. But the second Diglett one I cannot finish, so maybe with this. I am now only missing three, and haven't unlocked the last set. The pikachu wall jump, second diglett and the long one with pichu. If you need tips, just ask :)
