Could this be added to the manuals section for Zany Cards? Thanks!KR155E wrote: Hey KR155E, not sure how to tag somebody in a reply, so maybe this works?
Hey, I believe I'm the one who claimed to be scanning the Pokemon Tetris manual, which I still have yet to start. I do have the manual, just haven't scanned and PDF'd it. I don't think I have the folded piece you're referring to though. I'd be interested in seeing that for sure.Volty wrote:Hi,
I noticed on your site that you do not appear to have any scans for the European manual of Pokémon tetris. I recently acquired a boxed copy which has the manuals for the game, but more interestingly with a folded printout containing the instructions in what I suspect to be Portuguese.
I don't know if this printout is standard or not, and I do not know if it was provided with the game originally or done afterward. What I do know is that while the printout is done on ordinary A5 paper, it is very professionally laid out; it's not a scan of a manual which was re-printed, or if it is, then exceptional effort has been taken to not make it obvious that this is the case.
There is someone already seeming to be in the process of providing scans for the pokémon tetris manual, so I don't want to cut in front of them if necessary, but if this printout isn't standard then I would be delighted to provide scans of it. Please contact me if this is the case.
That's fine then, I'll get to work prepping them for scanning in a day or two. Because of their being folded up so much to fit inside such a tiny box, It'll probably take a few days to flatten them out, so any scans taken don't look too bad.RazorLeafAttack wrote: I don't think I have the folded piece you're referring to though. If you want any help with formatting the scans for a PDF, or retouching the scans, I have a lot of experience with both, and have some fancy Photoshop tricks for cleaning up print scans.Volty wrote:That's fine then, I'll get to work prepping them for scanning in a day or two. Oh, yes! Definitely scan in at the same resolution you intend to print at, that halftone effect is called a moiré pattern, which happens when the image gets downscaled.RazorLeafAttack wrote:And if your scanning software has a "descreen" option, scan a copy with that enabled and one without and compare them. It can often help remove the halftone pattern.
Are you able to scan at a higher resolution? The box scans can be much more useful at 300 DPI/PPI or higherNEtoys wrote:I’ll try to find my other JP box scans. I once intended to do what you’re doing and of course just never acquired the appropriate skills lol.
