Don't drill them out. You might just need to get a different triwing driver – perhaps with a finer point? I found that it wasn't a great fit and also had difficulty getting the screws out. They sit very snug at first, but once you get them to move, they come out easily. I had a different triwing driver already fortunately (iFixit driver kit). I believe it is a number 0 (also called Y0) if you find them sold somewhere that lists the size. Often hobby electronics places or computer component stores will have sets of specialty bits which include triwing aka tri-point aka Y bits.
Something to try... You may be able to screw them in a little
bit further in order to break them free from that initial death grip. I know I've had this work in other similar situations. Good luck, and keep us posted. Meanwhile I'll mention this to the guy who runs the shop.
