Re: Flash Cart Shells
I'm so stoked for this! I really don't wanna have to sacrifice a cart of mine.
Re: Flash Cart Shells
To update on my custom shells.
I ordered them this week, but today I got a message that they will be shipped on the 28th of this month.
I do not know why it should take that long, but we have to wait a bit longer before I can test them and report back :/

Re: Flash Cart Shells
Who did you order them through, and where are they being sent to (roughly)? AFAIK it's Chinese Newyear this time of year, so a lot of container ships are going to be very delayed.Pikpol wrote:To update on my custom shells.

Your model is very true to the original carts, so I expect it should work. I finally got my romcart and it very snugly fits in the OEM shells without being modded (especially due to the slide-into-place latching mechanism on the sides), so we're tweaking the internal floorplan to make it a bit roomier. Just picked up some PLA+ yesterday and will print the next iteration soon.

Can’t wait to hear more on these shells! The lunar new year is definitely causing delays in manufacturing all over. The next batch of DITTO mini included

Re: Flash Cart Shells
I completely forgot about the lunar new year affecting shipping. Whatever I’ll wait as long as it takes until I get a shell for my ditto mini.

Sorry for the late reply, they just took long to produce. As they were produced here in the same country.
And now I can show it to you! I posted some images on imgur, please see the link below.

I noticed a slight error in the cart. The whole at the top for the connector isn't big enough. I measured the connector on the cart and not the connector on the cable. But apart from that, the cart is great and fits well. I still need to get two screws and I noticed I can improve the top of the cart a bit. The curve is just a bit off, but this does not matter much, especially for a first prototype.
I am very happy with the result

I have 2 questions for you:
• How much do you think they will cost once they're available for purchase?
• Do you have access to a variety of colors? Would looooove to see on in "Ditto Pink." Something like this

I actually bought a Deluxe set, but looking at this, I decide to keep the cart and wait for this.
