This ROM will emulate an Sony remote control (12 bit SIRC protocol) by using
the Pokemon Mini Infrared capabilities.
- Works best in a range of up to 2 meters, but up to 5 meters are possible if
you adjust the angle a lot and keep trying 🙂
The code is quite a hack because it is damn hard to get multiple interrupts
working properly. Timer IRQs can be disturbed only by activating the drawing
circuit of the Pokemon Mini (no vblank IRQ used)! This is why i deactivate the
drawing of the screen as soon as an infrared transfer is started.
If you want to control your TV with your Pokemon Mini just e-mail me and tell me
what kind of TV you have and I'll see if I can make a PM-remote for your TV 🙂

This ROM will emulate an rct100 remote control used for Thomson TVs by using
the Pokemon Mini Infrared capabilities. I am not quite sure but maybe this
will work with other TVs as well (Telefunken maybe?).

dose it work on tv and dvd players
I have a seiki tv and a sony dvd player
nah, to make this work with other devices the codes would need to be changed (in software). It’s quite a bit of work finding out what code the original remote control is using and changing the software to send that code.
Would you consider making a version for Panasonic TV’s? I’ve got a CRT portable but it didn’t come with a remote and I have to open the flap to switch between TV/AV and to use the volume control!
I wonder if it could be coded with a “Learn” function to open up its versatility. That was the most useful feature of Casio’s remote control watches since managing standalone codes for manufacturers is such a pain. Would be cool!
I’m confused please can you do a step by step instructions?
